- hold the board somewhere on the tip with your front or back hand
- pull the foot out on the side where you hold the board
- wrap your foot around the tip
- you need to pass your arm, so take your hand off the board and grab it again quickly
- once you let go off the board, give it a little kick upwards so it won't fall down while your hand is off the board
