- steer the kite slowly towards zenith
- pop off and grab with your front hand the front strap or nose of the board
- take your front foot out of the straps
- depower a bit to get closer to the water surface
- move your lower leg backwards and start sliding with it on the water surface
- put your foot back into the strap
- meanwhile pull on your back hand to steer the kite back to where you came from
